Counselling in Chester, Manchester, Liverpool and online.
I am mixed race and have lived in several different countries as I was growing up. As a result of this and other experiences, I felt different to the people around me in many ways.
Experiencing counselling and counsellor training helped me to embrace and celebrate the things about me that make me different, and I’ve learned that these qualities are also the ones that help me connect with people the most.
As a therapist I am passionate about working in the area of identity exploration.
I have an MA in Clinical Counselling and I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and with Psychology Today and Counselling Directory.
As part of my continuing professional development I have Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA) suicide awareness training and a level 2 in Understanding Autism. I have also completed the Foundation for Infant Loss Training.
As a counsellor, my goal is to help you understand yourself better, navigate challenges in your life, and accept yourself for who you are. I am a person-centred therapist which means that I work in a patient, accepting, non-judgemental way to support you through the issues that you wish to address in therapy.
I am all about empowering clients to find what works for them and I believe that you have the answers already. I am simply here to create a safe space in which we can explore your experiences together. My approach is calm and gentle, and I will not push you to explore things you are uncomfortable with or not ready for.
We will always work at a pace that feels appropriate to you. If you're ready to take the first step towards better understanding yourself and addressing the challenges in your life, I invite you to arrange an appointment. Together, we can create a tailored plan that respects your boundaries and meets your needs.
People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that I work with:

It prioritises your privacy and allows for a personalised experience in a professional virtual setting.
Counselling sessions last 50 minutes and cost £50 per session.
If you wish to cancel an appointment I require 48 hours notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. Payment is accepted via bank transfer.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
